Why on earth would you want to have a winter wedding? Well, there are a lot of reasons that may not have crossed your mind. Here are a few to consider if you are thinking about having a winter wedding and why it may be the ideal fit for you.
Since it is after the holidays and not the peak ‘wedding’ season, you are more likely to be able to negotiate a reasonable price with the majority of your vendors (catering, venue, and photographer). You are also more likely to be able to book vendors that are more popular because their schedule isn’t as busy this time of year.
If you are a bargain shopper like me, after the holidays is the best time to get white lights, frosted pine-cones, pine leaves, snowflakes which can bring the winter wonderland inside. You can use almost any color palette. Lighter pastel colors to vibrant blues and purples will pop this time of year.
With the majority of weddings being in the spring and summer months yours could get lost in the mix. That won’t happen if you plan a winter wedding. After the excitement of the holidays there isn’t much to look forward to and it’s cold outside (at least in Indiana). A wedding will give everyone a reason to melt away their winter blues.
